The purpose of psychotherapy is the exploration of thoughts, feelings and behaviour for the purpose of problem solving or achieving higher levels of functioning. Psychotherapy aims to increase the individual’s sense of his/her own well-being. My approach includes techniques to increase awareness and the capacity for self-observation, change behaviour and cognition, and develop insight and empathy. Desired results may be to enable more effective choices of thought, feeling or action, to increase the sense of well-being and to better manage subjective discomfort or distress.
